I love computers and photography. Those two work together very well in my world. I have used digital cameras since 2000. Always working on the images on the computer and I still love it.
This site will show you more about both and other stuff that I spend my time on.
Photography on one hand and computers on the other, especially LINUX, an operating system that I love.
Ever since Windows 11 started to meddle with our lives and owned our computers more than we did. Also because they tried to make me throw away a few very good computers, that still work great and DO work great with Linux. Like the computer used to built this website online.
I would love to tell people that they have a choice and can keep their old computers for a much longer time without spending any money. Just a bit of know-how is needed and all that can be found online.
It became even more important, when the only computer I wanted to run Windows 11, crashed on an update of Windows 11. It could 'restore' the system from the computer, it said. When it was done, ALL my programs had been ERASED, some replaced by Windows varieties. My Thunderbird was gone, replaced by Outlook, my Firefox was gone, replaced by Edge and even my OfficeSuit was replaced by Office365. All other programs were gone! That was their definition of restore.
Realizing it would take much more time to remove all the bloatware and reinstall all my programs, I turned that computer to Linux too. It is four months ago and I never regretted it.
